Vincent Gray Academy is a private Christian school which is governed by its Board of Directors. The Academy raises the funds necessary to run the school almost exclusively from private sources.
Vincent Gray Academy issues a full high diploma which is recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education.
Vincent Gray operates according to Christian principles as drawn from the Old and New Testament.

The school day extends from 9:00am to 3:05pm (12:00 noon on Fridays). Detentions, if required, are held on Thursdays from 3:10 to 4:05pm and Saturdays from !0:00am to noon.
Students are required to attend school every day. If a student misses more than 30 class hours (approximately five days), that student will be dropped to inactive status and is not eligible to return for a full quarter.
Students will be expelled for the following reasons: flagrant disrespect (as judged by the staff), possession or use of any illegal substance or one containing alcohol, stealing, fighting, possession of a weapon, setting off a false alarm, other felonies (eg., bomb threat), major vandalism (student must also make restitution), fourth suspension, third incident of cheating or plagiarism.
Dress regulations: Polo or oxford shirt without writing or images. Uniform trousers, shorts, or skirts that are dark blue, black, or tan. These should fit at the waist and have a hem. No undergarments may show.Shoes cannot have open toes. Do-rags and bandanas are not allowed.
